Jason specializes in working with clients to evaluate and solve challenging water management, treatment, and reuse issues. He has managed numerous projects evaluating water resource management strategies, conducting infrastructure condition assessments, and optimizing water treatment performance through operational and capital improvements. His experience includes facilities ranging in size from less than one million gallons per day of treatment and conveyance capacity to very large and complex projects at facilities that can handle several hundred million gallons per day. He helps clients use water resources as efficiently as possible and maximize the use of existing capital assets before investing in expensive capital improvements. He has managed and served as senior technical advisor on projects involving water quality assessments, engineering capital improvements, cost estimating, strategic planning, procuring large capital infrastructure agreements, and optimizing the use of existing assets. His experience includes the evaluation and implementation of innovative treatment technologies through the performance of treatability studies, bench-scale testing, and pilot-scale testing. He has been accountable for managing over 50 different projects involving multi-disciplinary teams of technical staff, regulatory stakeholders, public stakeholders, and environmental organizations.
A strong proponent of driving health and safety into every aspect of his projects, Jason has completed numerous health and safety training classes and has the certification from the Mine Safety and Health Administration for surface, coal, construction, metal, and nonmetal areas. Recently, Jason managed a $20M design-build project that included a team of design engineers, construction professionals, and health/safety experts with no lost time incidents that lasted over two years and included 45,000 construction labor hours.
Jason has presented and authored articles on a wide variety of technical topics involving water treatment, regulatory compliance, site-wide management tools, and strategic planning. He has also won awards for client satisfaction and the development of innovative technical solutions. Jason managed one project helping small drinking water systems across Colorado to comply with the Radionuclide Rule, which earned the Honor Award and Grand Prize from the American Council of Engineering Companies and American Academy of Environmental Engineers, respectively.
