Matt listens to his clients’ needs, and draws upon his experience as a military engineer and program manager of major stormwater infrastructure projects, his academic training in both groundwater and surface water, and his experience serving as the lead technical design expert on projects across the U.S. to provide high value solutions for his clients. His diversity is demonstrated by his broad project experience, which encompasses detailed design, obtaining permits, and preparing comprehensive studies for both traditional and sustainable green infrastructures. Traditional project experience includes major flood control facilities (dams and levees), extensive urban stormwater and combined sewer systems, stream stabilization, bridge scour protection, dam breach studies, and flood hazard mapping for riverine systems. Matt also has equal experience working on innovative, sustainable green infrastructure solutions that include water quality retrofit planning and design, watershed masterplans, stream restoration, award winning low impact development, and stormwater best management practices (BMP). To advance the state of the practice, Matt frequently presents on the topics of urban stormwater management, sustainable green stormwater infrastructure, stream restoration, dam safety, and flood hazard mapping for riverine systems. Matt regularly serves as a technical advisor on local and regional water resource committees that guide and develop stormwater management policies that are shaping the future.
