Robert Bruce is a Senior Principal Engineer based in Texas with more than 35 years of experience focused on planning; feasibility studies; investigation and technical studies; litigation and claims support; preparation and implementation of work plans for a variety of industrial and commercial projects; environmental projects; coastal developments; and civil engineering structures.

Robert specializes in the design and management of complex environmental remediation projects, and engineering and construction related to oil and natural gas exploration, production, and processing in Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Peru, Columbia, Bangladesh, China, Turkey, Philippines, Cambodia, Canada, and the United States.

With significant experience in management of large-scale civil and environmental construction, Robert's practice focuses on the cost-effective integration of geotechnical, contamination and constructability issues early in site planning when they can be most efficiently considered and includes developing plans, preparing and evaluating bids, contract administration, developing and implementing safety programs, regulatory liaison, project controls, and managing daily operations. He has substantial experience in building and managing multicultural teams of local personnel and firms, and then integrating Geosyntec's established capabilities and resources to achieve project objectives.

He managed the two-year, $30 million closure of a manufacturing site involving low-level radioactive wastes in Malaysia. Other recent projects include site planning studies for a proposed LNG export facility in a highly seismic area on the coast of Peru; geotechnical evaluations to reduce groundwater impacts around sulfur pads at a major oil facility in Kazakhstan; design and construction of an emergency well pad and gas collection system to control a gas well blow out in Bangladesh. More recently Robert has been engaged in green stormwater infrastructure projects in the San Fernando Valley such as the Stormwater Parks Capture project and the Southeast Los Angeles Cultural Center and other redevelopment projects along the Los Angeles River.
